Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and testing.
  • Strong proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Solid experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with basic test automation concepts and tools.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, Test Design Techniques, and SDLC (Waterfall & Agile).
  • Experience in creating Master Test Plans and Test Effort Estimations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility in shifting schedules, extended working hours, and travel readiness.
  • ISTQB certification is a plus but not required.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Quality Process Mastery:
    • Analyze business and functional requirements to create test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices.
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
    • Validate backend data using MS SQL queries.
    • Create test effort estimates and comprehensive test plans for small to large projects.
    • Develop and maintain Master Test Plans and Test Summary Reports.
    • Execute test cases, identify defects, replicate issues, and log precise defect reports.
    • Certify software defect fixes and validate new functionality.
    • Apply basic automation techniques where applicable, in collaboration with Automation QA.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
  • Administrative & Leadership
    • Record and track activities using project management tools (e.g., ATLAS).
    • Prepare and submit QA reports, escalate issues as needed.
    • Mentor and guide Junior Quality Analysts.
    • Lead testing activities and manage minor risks/issues in projects.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration
    • Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and QA peers.
    • Collaborate with Automation QA for initiating automation where possible.
    • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learning & Development
    • Stay updated with testing methodologies, QA tools, and technology trends.
    • Continuously expand knowledge of business processes and IT systems.
