Key Duties and Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable .NET code.
Develop, implement, and optimize SQL queries for improved system performance.
Collaborate with Dallas HELIX and other ESSPI HELIX resources as part of an agile development team.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies including estimation, standups, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Update JIRA user stories and tasks to reflect sprint progress accurately.
Conduct thorough code reviews and defect checks prior to QA release.
Manage code merges, pull requests, and support smooth release cycles.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified by QA and customers, ensuring ownership until resolution.
Contribute to a culture of excellence through openness, transparency, and collaborative learning.
Provide timely updates to customers on initiative progress and deliverables.
Monitor service deliverables daily, ensuring proper reporting and documentation.
Support service continuity by assisting teammates when required.
Stay updated on new technologies, system updates, and industry best practices.
Mentor junior developers and share technical expertise with peers.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Core Qualifications and Education
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Microsoft .NET development.
At least 4 years with SQL Server.
1+ year experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with React, ES6, or TypeScript.
2+ years working with GIT version control.
Experience in Agile software development.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices (testing, version control, DRY principles).
Understanding of .NET standards (SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, Unit Testing).
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to clearly document and explain technical solutions.
Proactive learner, adaptable to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
