Position: Network Administrator


Primary Technical Abilities

Networking

  • LAN/WAN/WLAN administration and troubleshooting
  • Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • VLAN configuration, STP, VRRP, QoS, EtherChannel

Firewall & Security

  • Advanced administration of Palo Alto Firewalls with Panorama (centralized management)
  • Hands-on with Fortinet and Reverse Proxy solutions
  • VPNs, NAT, App-ID, HA configuration
  • Threat prevention and SIEM integration

Monitoring Tools

  • SolarWinds (NPM, NTA, NetFlow) – setup, dashboards, alerting
  • SNMP, syslog configuration for telemetry and alerts
  • Custom dashboard creation and proactive monitoring

Automation & DevOps

  • Scripting with Python, Ansible, PowerShell
  • Configuration management (e.g., Git)
  • Network provisioning automation (Terraform preferred)

DNS & IP Management

  • Infoblox: DNS/DHCP management, IPAM, grid sync, API integration
  • DNSSEC, failover, record updates (A, PTR, MX, CNAME)

SD-WAN & Cloud Integration

  • Design and implementation of SD-WAN overlays
  • Integration with Azure, AWS, and GCP environments
  • Traffic steering, dynamic path selection, cloud routing

Reporting & Documentation

  • Development of real-time monitoring dashboards
  • SLA/uptime reporting and incident summaries
  • SOP creation and Visio documentation

Secondary Technical Abilities

  • Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Exposure to storage and backup solutions: NetApp, Veeam, Commvault (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of network compliance standards: ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR

Behavioral Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years as a Network Administrator
  • Strong technical expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto (with Panorama), Infoblox, and Azure Firewall
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and customer service focused
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (English proficiency required; French reading a plus)
  • Ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
