Overview
We are looking for an Application Support Specialist to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications. This role combines production support, cloud exposure, and DevOps practices, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy solving issues while driving system improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Resolve application issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Support deployments and transitions from development to production
- Manage incidents, escalations, and problem resolution
- Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Maintain clear documentation and support knowledge sharing
What We’re Looking For
Core Skills
- Strong SQL (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) experience
- Experience in application support / incident management
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and communication skills
Preferred Technical Exposure
- Programming/scripting in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or PHP
- Experience with Git/GitHub and version control workflows
- Exposure to Oracle or other relational databases
- Background in DevOps practices and release management
