Mid-Level Automation QA Engineer
Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Automation QA Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in test automation and a solid understanding of software quality assurance processes. Experience with Playwright is preferred but not required, as training can be provided. In this role, you will be responsible for developing automation frameworks, executing test strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and other automation tools.
- Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Collaborate closely with Development and QA teams to improve test coverage and software quality.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test reports, and defect documentation.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Provide guidance and support to junior QA team members.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, QA methodologies, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Automation Testing and at least 1 year of experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- At least trained in Playwright (hands-on experience is an advantage but not required).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience working with automation frameworks such as BDD, DDT, or KDT.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with databases including Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
- Experience in creating test strategies, master test plans, and leading small QA initiatives or teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup with flexible schedules and occasional travel when required.
- ISTQB Certification is an advantage.
Additional / Preferred Skills
- Exposure or training in Playwright is acceptable; candidates without prior Playwright experience are welcome as long as they are willing to learn.
- Hands-on experience in Playwright is a plus.
- At least 6 months of experience in AI and AI implementation (e.g., AI-assisted testing, automation enhancements, or QA productivity tools).
Work Setup
- Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa
- Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote (hybrid setup)
- Shift: Night shift
