We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Backend Developer to support the expansion and ongoing maintenance of a customer-facing donation platform as it scales into international markets, including regions such as Indonesia, India, and Europe. This role is ideal for developers who have progressed beyond foundational skills and are ready to take on more complex backend challenges with mentorship from senior developers. Responsibilities include backend service development, API integration, database optimization, and performance tuning to ensure a robust and scalable platform experience.
Develop and enhance backend services to support platform expansion in new regions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backend functionality aligns with frontend and business requirements.
Customize backend logic to meet region-specific needs.
Build, document, and maintain RESTful APIs to support secure and efficient data exchange.
Support data migration from legacy Excel-based workflows to a PostgreSQL-driven environment.
Optimize SQL queries and implement indexing strategies to improve database performance.
Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable .NET code.
Conduct initial defect checks prior to QA handoff to ensure quality.
Participate in code reviews, submit pull requests, and support code merges and release processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve backend defects identified by QA teams and end users.
Maintain strong communication and transparency with internal teams and customers regarding status updates.
Monitor service deliverables and daily system activity to ensure operational stability.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to backend development.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across development standards, workflows, and best practices.
Promote a culture of collaboration, openness, and ongoing learning.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
1–3 years of backend development experience with emphasis on .NET and PostgreSQL.
Experience designing and documenting RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with GraphQL for optimized data querying (preferred but not required).
Exposure to Azure Functions or similar serverless computing environments.
Knowledge of Coremedia CMS or comparable content management systems is considered a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on performance and reliability.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
