We are seeking a highly skilled BI & Data Analytics Engineer to join our Business Intelligence & Data Platforms team. The ideal candidate has strong experience across data analytics, BI development, modern data platforms, and enterprise reporting environments. You will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting data solutions that empower business insights and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Data Analytics
- Develop, enhance, and support BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Qlik or SAP BusinessObjects.
- Analyze, transform, and validate large datasets to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and optimize data models including dimensional modeling and star schema structures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable solutions.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
- Work with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, Python, and SQL-based environments.
- Develop data workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar orchestration tools.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and reporting discrepancies.
Reporting Platforms & Semantic Layers
- Develop reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence) or similar BI tools.
- Design, enhance, and maintain semantic layers/universes using Information Design Tool (IDT) or equivalent tools.
- Support BI platform operations including tasks within Central Management Console (CMC) or comparable admin environments.
- Ensure stability and reliability of BI production environments.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical upskilling initiatives.
- Participate in technical discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and root cause analyses.
- Work effectively in production support environments and collaborate across teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics ecosystems.
- Advanced SQL development skills, including work with SQL Management Studio (SSMS) or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Python, and modern data engineering platforms.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar integration/orchestration tools.
- Background in developing and supporting enterprise BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, including star schemas and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with large datasets for analytics and reporting.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA (BWHANA) modeling or reporting.
- Familiarity with additional cloud data services or advanced analytics tools.
