BI Production Support Engineer (L3)

GECO Philippines is looking for a BI Production Support Engineer (L3) to support and maintain enterprise Business Intelligence and analytics platforms. This role focuses on advanced production support, data analysis, and ensuring the reliability and performance of BI systems in a mission‑critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 production support for BI and analytics platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Perform advanced SQL queries for data validation, investigation, and root‑cause analysis
- Monitor BI jobs, dashboards, and data pipelines; proactively identify and resolve issues
- Investigate data discrepancies, performance bottlenecks, and reporting failures
- Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver timely resolutions
- Implement fixes, enhancements, and preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents
- Support release activities, deployments, and post‑production verification
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures
- Participate in on‑call rotations and incident management for critical BI systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting BI & Analytics platforms in a production environment
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, and report validation
- Solid understanding of data models, ETL processes, and reporting workflows
- Experience working with large datasets and business‑critical reports
- Familiarity with incident management, SLAs, and ITIL‑based support processes
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle escalations in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with enterprise BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, BusinessObjects, or similar)
- Exposure to cloud data platforms or data warehouses
- Background in banking, finance, or large‑scale enterprise environments
