Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Business Analyst / Application Change Management Analyst to join our team supporting a leading organization in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis capabilities, experience in application change management processes, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively. The candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements, supporting change management initiatives, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and providing Level 2 (L2) application support.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for development and support teams.
- Support application change management processes, including impact assessment, change documentation, testing coordination, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring business requirements are adequately validated.
- Provide Level 2 (L2) application support, including issue analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution coordination.
- Act as a liaison between business users, project teams, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements and changes.
- Monitor and manage change requests throughout the change lifecycle.
- Support production go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization.
- Prepare user documentation, training materials, and process documentation where
- required.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Travel occasionally within Malaysia during project go-live and critical implementation periods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis and Application Change Management.
- Proven experience in functional requirements gathering and functional analysis.
- Strong understanding of application change management processes and methodologies.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work effectively with business users and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Level 2 (L2) application support.
- Prior experience working within the Energy, Oil & Gas industry.
- Familiarity with incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Exposure to enterprise applications and business-critical systems.
- Experience supporting application deployments and production go-live activities.
