GECO Asia is Hiring: DevOps Engineer!
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and strengthen the infrastructure that powers all development, testing, deployment, and monitoring activities. This role handles CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, observability, security, and automation across AWS and Azure. It requires strong scripting skills and basic application knowledge, but it is not a full-stack development role.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Deployment
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web, mobile, and backend applications
- Manage GitHub Actions workflows (build, test, security scan, deploy)
- Configure mobile build pipelines for iOS and Android
- Optimize pipelines through caching, parallelization, and environment isolation
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS & Azure)
- Provision and manage AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, VPC, CloudFront)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK
- Manage Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps where required
- Configure networking (VPCs, load balancers, Route 53, SSL/TLS)
- Manage Docker containers, ECS/EKS deployments, and registries
Monitoring, Alerting & Incident Response
- Set up monitoring using Datadog, CloudWatch, and Sentry
- Configure alerts for uptime, latency, errors, and resource usage
- Build dashboards for system and deployment visibility
- Participate in incident response and produce post‑mortems
- Implement centralized logging (CloudWatch Logs, ELK, Datadog Logs)
Security & Compliance
- Manage secrets (AWS Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Azure Key Vault)
- Configure IAM policies and roles
- Run vulnerability and container image scans in CI/CD
- Manage SSL/TLS and backup/recovery processes
Automation & Developer Support
- Write Python/Bash automation scripts
- Support developers with environment setup and deployment debugging
- Maintain documentation and runbooks
- Read basic React/TypeScript and NestJS code during troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE experience
- Strong AWS experience (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Hands‑on IaC experience with Terraform or AWS CDK
- CI/CD pipeline management using GitHub Actions
- Docker expertise and container orchestration (ECS/EKS)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and security best practices
- Comfortable with Linux systems and command line
- Basic ability to read React/TypeScript and NestJS code
- Strong English communication skills
