Overview
We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst with strong functional analysis and technical design capabilities to support the delivery of AML and compliance-related systems within a banking environment. This role ensures that business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, and high-quality technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Test Managers, Infrastructure, Security, Vendors, and Production Support across the full project lifecycle.
Job Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze and define detailed functional specifications based on business and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to clarify requirements and ensure traceability to functional specifications.
- Design and document end-to-end functional flows and user journeys for financial/AML systems.
- Create technical design documentation aligned with architecture, development standards, and security requirements.
- Coordinate with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors during build, test, and deployment phases.
- Support testing activities, including clarifying test findings, classifying defects vs. change requests, and reviewing test scope.
- Contribute to SDLC documentation such as Functional Specs, Technical Design, and Data Conversion documents.
- Collaborate with Security Architects to support threat modelling and implementation of security controls.
- Work with Production Support to define IT operations procedures and deployment readiness.
- Participate in impact assessments, estimations, and change request evaluations.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and business outcomes.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in Systems Analyst or Financial Systems Analyst roles.
- Strong experience in functional analysis, requirement gathering, and documentation.
- Proven ability to design functional flows and technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Strong knowledge of banking domain, especially AML/compliance systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, Infra, Security, Vendors).
- Good understanding of SDLC, system integration, and application architecture.
- Experience supporting testing phases including defect analysis and scope validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Banking, or Finance.
Preferred/Nice-to-have:- Experience with workflow or BPM platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Exposure to regulated environments and financial systems.
