GECO Asia is Hiring: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer
GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, with two delivery centers in the Philippines – Manila and Iloilo.
We are looking for a skilled GCP Engineer to design, build, and support secure and scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices, who enjoys working on enterprise-scale environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
- Build and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) using Git-based workflows
- Deploy and support containerized and serverless workloads (GKE, Cloud Run)
- Support cloud migration and modernization efforts
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Design and manage cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, firewalls)
- Work with core GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub
- Apply cloud security best practices and governance standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize cloud environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to enable successful cloud adoption
Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes / GKE)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of cloud networking and security
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Nice to Have
- GCP Certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer)
- Experience with cloud migration projects
- Exposure to enterprise or regulated environments
