Position Overview:
The IT Engineers (Systems Engineer and DevOps) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our applications and services. This role involves collaboration with software developers, IT operations, and other stakeholders to streamline deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure seamless integration across our technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
DevOps:
- Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline deployment processes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
- Manage configuration and deployment of applications in various environments (development, staging, production).
- Monitor application performance and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer and/or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and VPNs.
