GECO Asia is Hiring: L1 SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Analyst
About the Role
We are looking for an L1 SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Analyst to support enterprise reporting, manage BO environments, and ensure accurate and reliable business intelligence outputs. This role involves working with SAP BO tools, validating data through SQL, and supporting production operations across the BI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Web Intelligence (WebI) reports in SAP BusinessObjects.
- Manage and update Universes using Information Design Tool (IDT).
- Support report scheduling, access control, and issue resolution via Central Management Console (CMC).
- Perform SQL‑based data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in resolving production issues, including report failures and data mismatches.
- Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and business teams on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
SAP BusinessObjects
- Hands‑on experience with WebI, IDT, and Universe Design.
- Familiarity with CMC and BO production support workflows.
Data & BI Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Experience working in BI or Data Analytics environments.
- Understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema concepts.
- Ability to work with and analyze large datasets.
Data Integration Awareness
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Databricks is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues in reporting.
Collaboration & Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in production support environments.
- Collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams.
- Ownership in maintaining stable and accurate reporting solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA reporting or modeling.
