GECO Asia is Hiring: L3 BI Analyst Programmer
Overview
We are seeking an L3 BI Analyst Programmer to support and enhance enterprise BI and data platforms. This role focuses on production support, data engineering, and analytics, with strong emphasis on modern data platforms such as Azure Databricks and SAP BI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L3 production support for BI applications and data pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve data, reporting, and system issues across platforms
- Work with Databricks, SAP BI tools, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and related technologies
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, datasets, and reporting layers
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
- Handle incident management and critical issue resolution
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Contribute to shift-left support initiatives (L1/L2 enablement)
Required Skills & Experience
Core Data & BI Skills
- Strong experience in BI / Data Analytics environments
- Advanced SQL development and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
Primary Technical Requirement (Must-Have)
- Strong experience in at least one of the following:
- Azure Databricks (with Python)
- SAP BI technologies (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BW/BW on HANA)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools
Additional / Supporting Skills
- Experience with enterprise BI/reporting tools
- Familiarity with API environments (API-first concepts, Apigee, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, or traditional BI stack
- Exposure to Azure or AWS ecosystems
Nice to Have
- Experience with both SAP BI and Databricks environments
- ITIL certification or production support framework experience
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work in fast-paced production support environments
- Ownership mindset and proactive approach to issue resolution and improvements
