
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and govern delivery for strategic transformation initiatives within the insurance domain. This is a business-facing role requiring strong stakeholder management, program governance, and client engagement capabilities, while maintaining sufficient technical understanding to effectively collaborate with technology teams.
The role will work closely with regional stakeholders, including business leaders, technology teams, and vendor partners across Singapore and China markets, ensuring smooth execution and alignment of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain end-to-end project delivery plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Drive program governance activities, including status tracking, reporting, risk management, and escalation handling.
- Act as the primary interface between business, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate regular project updates, steering committee meetings, and executive presentations.
- Ensure clear communication of project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of solutions without being hands-on technical.
- Manage vendor coordination and delivery expectations to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support change and transformation initiatives, particularly in insurance or distribution domains.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices, timelines, and quality standards.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in techno-functional or business-facing roles.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management, client engagement, and communication.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation or program delivery initiatives.
- Prior experience in insurance industry, especially in distribution or transformation projects, is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Experience working with regional stakeholders (Singapore and China markets) is an advantage.
- Experience in Strategic PMO or enterprise program environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- PMP or equivalent/related certified.
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills, with exposure to senior leadership communication.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
