GECO Asia is Hiring: QA Automation Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level)
GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China.
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to support the development and execution of automated and manual testing to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about test automation, quality engineering, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
- Support and enhance existing automation frameworks
- Review requirements and contribute to test plans, test cases, and test strategies
- Execute functional, regression, and feature testing
- Log, track, and verify defects and issues
- Maintain clear test documentation and results
- Participate in defect triage and QA process improvements
What You Bring
Core Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in QA or test automation
- Hands-on experience with:
- Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript)
- Selenium WebDriver
- Exposure to Appium for mobile automation
- Programming skills in Python or JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Additional scripting with Python for data validation
- Familiarity with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath)
