QA Engineer
We are expanding our international support operations and are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented QA Analyst with strong technical skills to join our growing team in the Philippines.
This role involves early-stage testing of our Application and close collaboration with C++ Developers and Business Analysts to ensure the highest quality of delivered code.
Key Responsibilities
- Review documentation from the Business Analyst team to understand requirements and expected system behavior
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
- Test changes made by C++ developers to confirm they meet requirements and function as intended
- Verify bug fixes to ensure issues are resolved without introducing new defects
- Report defects in Jira, including clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence (logs, screenshots, etc.)
- Assist in creating test cases for developers, including edge and corner cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Poland, the UK, and South Africa to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Provide regular progress updates, highlighting risks, blockers, and key findings
- Support stable development and testing environments to ensure smooth code delivery
- Utilize automated testing tools to validate new deployments
- Work with Oracle DB to set up test data, configurations, and execute SQL scripts for testing
- Use internal tools and scripts to improve testing efficiency
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and quality standards
Requirements
Essential
- Completed higher education
- Fluency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
- Ability to interpret logs, error messages, and system behavior to identify defects
- Willingness to learn and use test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
- Flexibility to work shifts overlapping with UK business hours
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with SQL, XML, or scripting languages
