QA Test Lead - MY

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Lead to manage and drive quality assurance activities for large-scale enterprise transformation programs within the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in enterprise test management, automation, stakeholder engagement, and leadership of distributed QA teams in complex operational environments.

This role requires a strong understanding of Oil & Gas business processes, particularly across Refining, Supply Chain, Asset Management, HSE, and Trading domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA and testing activities across large enterprise programs and transformation initiatives.

• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and governance frameworks.

• Manage functional, integration, regression, automation, and performance testing activities.

• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and testing coverage.

• Coordinate and lead geographically distributed QA teams across multiple workstreams.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and external vendors to ensure quality deliverables.

• Drive defect management, risk assessment, issue resolution, and quality reporting to senior leadership.

• Ensure testing activities align with business objectives, compliance standards, and operational requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and QA best practices across programs.

• Operate effectively in fast-paced, high-risk operational environments with strong decision-making capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8–10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4–5 years in a QA/Test Lead role.

• Strong experience managing testing for large-scale enterprise systems and transformation programs.

• Prior experience working with Oil & Gas clients or projects is highly preferred.

• Deep understanding of Oil & Gas business processes, including:

  • Refining

  • Supply Chain

  • Asset Management

  • HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)

  • Trading

• Hands-on experience in:

  • Test management tools and methodologies

  • Test automation framework development

  • Performance and non-functional testing

• Proven experience leading large and distributed testing teams.

• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage critical situations calmly and work effectively under pressure.

• Experience working within high-availability operational environments.

• Exposure to Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies is an advantage.
