Position: SAP Business Object Developer

We are looking for a skilled and analytical Analyst Programmer 1 to join our growing Data and Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise BI solutions, data pipelines, and reporting platforms that enable business users to make data-driven decisions.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Must Have

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
• Strong experience working in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics environments
  

Business Intelligence & Data Platforms

• Strong SQL development skills and experience with SQL-based databases (e.g., SSMS or similar tools)

• Experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Python

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar data integration/orchestration tools

• Experience developing and supporting BI reports and dashboards using tools such as Qlik or SAP BusinessObjects

• Experience analyzing, transforming, and validating large datasets for reporting and analytics

• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schema design

Reporting & BI Tools

• Experience developing reports using SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence / Universe Design) or similar enterprise BI tools

• Experience designing or maintaining semantic layers/universes using Information Design Tool (IDT) or similar tools

• Familiarity with Central Management Console (CMC) or equivalent BI platform administration tools

• Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments

Data Engineering & Integration

• Experience working with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines

• Understanding of data integration patterns between enterprise systems and analytics platforms

• Ability to troubleshoot data issues, performance problems, and reporting discrepancies

Collaboration & Technical Support

• Experience participating in technical discussions, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

• Experience working in production support environments

Good to Have

• Knowledge or experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA (BWHANA) data modeling or reporting

• Experience mentoring engineers or supporting technical initiatives

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• BI Development & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and support enterprise BI reports and dashboards

  • Design and maintain semantic layers/universes to support reporting tools

  • Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions

• Data Engineering & Integration

  • Develop and support ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines

  • Integrate data across enterprise systems and analytics platforms

  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reporting solutions

• Data Analysis & Troubleshooting

  • Analyze large datasets to support reporting and analytics requirements

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and reporting errors

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions

• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders

  • Participate in technical discussions and solution design

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for BI and data platform solutions
