The SAP Cutover Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the cutover activities related to the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders across IT, business, and external vendors to ensure a seamless transition during the migration process, minimizing downtime, and mitigating risks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing SAP cutover activities, including in-depth knowledge of SAP landscapes and methodologies, particularly for S/4HANA migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the cutover planning and execution for the SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration project.
- Develop and document a detailed cutover plan, including system downtime, data migration, validation, and go-live schedules.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project managers, SAP functional and technical teams, business process owners, and external consultants to coordinate all cutover-related activities.
- Identify cutover dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
- Manage and track cutover activities, ensuring adherence to the timeline and resolving any issues that arise.
- Conduct cutover rehearsals/mock cutovers to validate the plan and make necessary adjustments.
- Oversee the execution of data migration activities, ensuring data integrity and successful migration to S/4HANA.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are properly informed of cutover progress, risks, and decisions through regular communication and status reporting.
- Provide leadership during go-live activities, ensuring a controlled and successful system deployment.
- Post-go-live, lead hypercare activities to support system stabilization and issue resolution.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive documentation for cutover planning, decisions, execution, and lessons learned.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on SAP implementations and migrations.
- At least 3 full lifecycle SAP cutover management experiences, including hands-on cutover leadership for migrations from ECC to S/4HANA.
- In-depth understanding of SAP architecture, data migration processes, and system cutover methodologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
- SAP certification in S/4HANA or experience with S/4HANA migration tools (e.g., SAP DMO, SUM, etc.).
- Experience working in large-scale, global SAP environments.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP S/4HANA migrations.
