We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Track Lead to manage and oversee all MDG-related operations, enhancements, and governance activities for the Customer Application Management Services (AMS) Program in Malaysia. This role requires functional and technical expertise in MDG, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead onsite-offshore teams for consistent service delivery.
Job Responsibilities
MDG Operations Leadership
- Lead delivery of MDG operations including incidents, changes, enhancements, and data quality initiatives.
- Manage MDG workflows, BRF+, data models, validations, derivations, and CR processes.
- Ensure master data processes align with customer standards and governance.
Onsite Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary onsite MDG focal point for customer IT and business.
- Provide operational updates, manage escalations, ensure SLA compliance.
- Conduct requirement workshops, testing cycles, and align business data owners.
Master Data Governance & Quality
- Define data governance policies, KPIs, workflows.
- Resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, lifecycle issues across MDG domains.
- Support governance committees and data stewardship forums.
MDG Enhancements & Project Support
- Lead functional/technical designs for MDG enhancements and integrations.
- Support S/4HANA transformation, MDG consolidation, BTP workflows, and integrations.
- Coordinate with Basis, Security, ABAP, Integration, and Functional teams.
MDG Technology & Landscape Management
- Oversee MDG configuration, DRF replication, data distribution, and performance.
- Support transports, testing, cutover, release planning.
Incident, Problem & Change Management
- Lead RCA and resolution for MDG issues.
- Validate and approve MDG-related changes as per governance.
People Management & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor onsite/offshore teams.
- Identify automation opportunities.
- Support AMS transformation and process improvement.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- 10–15 years SAP experience with 7+ years in MDG.
- Expertise in Material, BP, Finance, or Custom MDG domains.
- Hands-on workflow, BRF+, UI modelling, data model configuration.
- Strong understanding of ECC/S4 integration, DRF, SOA, IDoc/ALE.
- AMS experience with incidents, changes, enhancements.
