Job Requirements & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance / Testing
- At least 5 years of experience in Automation QA / Testing, including hands-on development of automated test frameworks
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C#, or shell scripting
- Experience with Playwright and other test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver)
- Experience in backend API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and REST APIs
- Strong working knowledge of database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Solid understanding of test design techniques, QA methodologies, and SDLC (Agile & Waterfall)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving skills
Good to Have:
- Experience in business domains such as manufacturing, distribution, or financial operations
- Exposure to mentoring or guiding junior QA staff
- Familiarity with cloud services or cloud automation platforms
- Prior experience in shared services or cross-functional QA/Automation environments
Job Roles & Responsibilities
Automation & Testing:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium WebDriver or equivalent
- Define test automation strategy and enforce coding standards
- Translate business requirements into automated test cases
- Ensure releases meet agreed quality standards through test reports and certifications
Process & Improvement:
- Follow SDLC and QA best practices
- Monitor and report automation progress and metrics
- Recommend improvements in tools, frameworks, and environments
- Collaborate with QA, development, and stakeholders to enhance automation frameworks
Reporting & Support:
- Execute test scripts, identify and report defects
- Validate fixes and perform regression, functional, and system testing
- Prepare test plans, effort estimates, and test summary reports
Administrative & Teamwork:
- Mentor junior QA and automation team members
- Maintain test records and ensure compliance with QA processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, BAs, QA leads)
- Adapt to changing priorities and schedules as needed
