GECO Asia is Hiring: Sr. BI Engineer – SAP BusinessObjects & BW/4HANA
GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, with two delivery centers in the Philippines – Manila and Iloilo.
We are seeking a Sr. BI Engineer with strong expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP BW/4HANA to support and advance enterprise analytics and reporting platforms. This role combines hands-on development, production support, and technical leadership within a large-scale BI environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and operational support of SAP BusinessObjects and SAP BW/4HANA solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain Web Intelligence (WebI) reports and Universes (IDT)
- Develop and support BW/4HANA data models, BW queries, and reporting layers
- Provide production support, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and adherence to change management processes
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical design and best practices
- Collaborate with data engineering teams, including integration with Databricks
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects 4.x and BW/4HANA
- Experience with WebI reporting and Universe design (IDT)
- Solid background in BW modeling, ADSOs, Composite Providers, and queries
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of dimensional modeling
- Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments
- Familiarity with change and transport management (SAP ChaRM preferred)
- Ability to lead technical discussions and guide teams

- Exposure to Databricks or modern data platforms
