Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive quality engineering and test automation initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Karate Framework, Playwright, Maven, and CI/CD automation, while also actively participating in functional testing activities.\
This role requires a seasoned quality engineering professional who can lead automation efforts, define testing strategies, implement scalable test frameworks, and collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
- Lead test automation initiatives using Karate Framework and Playwright.
- Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Perform hands-on functional testing alongside automation activities.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, reusable test assets, and test data management processes.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis activities.
- Participate in release planning, sprint activities, and quality governance processes.
- Review test strategies, automation design, and code to ensure quality standards and best practices are followed.
- Mentor team members and promote automation best practices across delivery teams.
General Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10-12 years of overall IT experience.
- 6-7 years of relevant experience in Test Automation, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
- Proven experience leading automation initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Karate Framework for API and UI test automation.
- Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation and end-to-end testing.
- Experience using Maven for build and dependency management.
- Experience working with RIO or similar CI/CD pipeline platforms.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in API Testing, UI Testing, and End-to-End Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience performing Functional Testing in conjunction with automation testing.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices.
- Experience with defect management, root cause analysis, and quality reporting.

- Experience with test reporting and quality dashboards.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
