
Overview
We are seeking a Staffing / Resource Management Associate to support resource allocation, bench management, and workforce planning across an IT consulting environment. The role focuses on ensuring the right consultants are available and allocated to the right projects while working closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Talent Acquisition, and management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day resource allocation and bench management, matching consultant skills, availability, experience, and project requirements to staffing needs.
- Monitor resource supply, demand, project roll-offs, upcoming requirements, and bench availability to support effective workforce planning and timely deployment.
- Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Talent Acquisition, project teams, and management to understand demand and identify suitable resources.
- Coordinate consultant assignments, internal movements, project transitions, and redeployment activities while maintaining accurate resource and allocation information.
- Identify resource gaps, allocation conflicts, bench risks, and changing project requirements, and work with relevant stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
- Support staffing and workforce discussions by providing visibility on consultant availability, skills, utilization, and upcoming capacity.
- Maintain regular communication with consultants and internal stakeholders on assignments, availability, transitions, and resource planning matters.
- Contribute to improving resource management processes, tools, reporting, and workforce practices across the consulting organization.
General Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Management, Staffing, or similar roles, preferably within an IT consulting, technology, or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of the IT consulting lifecycle, including project staffing, resource allocation, bench management, project roll-offs, and supply-demand planning.
- Experience working with cross-cultural teams across APAC or global environments is highly valued.
Mandatory Skills
- IT Consulting Environment: Good understanding of how IT consulting organizations operate, including project-based staffing, resource allocation, consultant deployment, project transitions, and changing client demands.
- Resource & Workforce Management: Strong experience in resource allocation, bench management, bench allocation, supply-demand planning, utilization, and workforce management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent ability to collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Talent Acquisition, project/delivery teams, and management, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Strong cultural awareness and experience working effectively with stakeholders and teams across different countries, cultures, and working environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Resource Management Systems (RMS), staffing platforms, workforce management tools, or similar systems.
- Experience working with resource metrics such as utilization, bench aging, fulfillment, allocation, capacity, and demand forecasting.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for resource tracking, reporting, and workforce analysis.
- Experience supporting regional or APAC-wide IT consulting operations.
