We are seeking a Technical Lead – SAP BI with deep expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP BW/4HANA to lead development, support, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics platforms. This role combines hands‑on work with technical leadership, ensuring stable BI operations while guiding engineers and improving platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

SAP BO & BW/4HANA Leadership

• Lead and support SAP BO and BW/4HANA initiatives, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in reporting, data modeling, and BI operations.

• Participate in technical design reviews and solution architecture discussions.

SAP BO Development & Support

• Develop Web Intelligence (WebI) reports and design Universes (IDT).

• Troubleshoot report performance, scheduling failures, and data refresh issues.

• Support administration through Central Management Console (CMC).

SAP BW/4HANA Development

• Build and maintain BW/4HANA models (ADSO, Composite Providers).

• Develop BW Queries using BW Modeling Tools in Eclipse.

• Resolve data extraction, transformation, and reporting issues.

Data Modeling & Analytics

• Design analytical data models using dimensional modeling and star schema best practices.

• Optimize datasets for performance and usability.

• Partner with data engineering teams to align modeling standards.

Change & Platform Operations

• Manage change deployments via SAP ChaRM.

• Coordinate transports across development, QA, and production.

• Support production operations, root‑cause analysis, and platform documentation.

Cross‑Platform Collaboration & Improvement

• Collaborate with Azure Databricks teams on SAP–to–cloud integrations.

• Support reporting solutions that consume Databricks datasets.

• Enhance automation, monitoring, and operational reliability across BI platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects 4.3, WebI, and Universe design (IDT).

• Hands-on expertise in SAP BW/4HANA modeling and BW Queries.

• Experience using BW Modeling Tools (Eclipse).

• Solid SQL skills and understanding of dimensional modeling.

• Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments.

• Familiarity with CMC administration and SAP ChaRM.

• Experience mentoring or leading technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Analysis for Office experience.

• SAP BODS for ETL.

• Exposure to Databricks or Spark-based analytics.

• Knowledge of SAP–to–cloud data integration patterns.

• Experience in large-scale BI environments.
