Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Tester who is comfortable leading testing initiatives while actively performing both manual and automation testing. The role requires strong experience in Selenium-based automation, API testing, and implementing structured QA processes, ideally within Retail or Online Store environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality through comprehensive test planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium and execute API testing.
Validate end-to-end workflows across frontend, backend systems, and third-party vendor integrations.
Lead and implement QA processes, standards, and methodologies to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Coordinate and conduct status meetings, defect triage sessions, and ad hoc working sessions.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
Support integration testing, regression testing, system testing, and UAT activities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
Provide testing leadership, guidance, and mentorship where required.
Technical Skills
Proven experience as an Automation Tester with hands-on involvement in both manual and automation testing.
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium automation framework.
Experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools).
Strong experience in developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and QA methodologies.
Experience working in Retail, eCommerce, or Online Store environments is highly preferred.
Ability to coordinate and perform end-to-end validation across multiple backend systems and vendors.
Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and QA best practices.
Good communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and stakeholder discussions.
Able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.
Preferred/Additional Advantage
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus.
